      Angry ADA help? xD

Ok so I started to practice ADA and I have no idea how to do it.I've read the tutorial but the problem is that i feel aware about ALL the things around me and breathing and smells and everything! But I dont have any special feeling while doing this..Its just like a normal one..Should I have a special feeling along with ADA or just feel like in everyday life but with more awareness ? Thank you! :3

Yeah, there is no special feeling. Just try to be aware of as many things as possible all at one time. Then try to hold that awareness for as long as possible as you continue your normal day. It will be difficult to hold all of that awareness all day, so you can do it in small bursts at first. Then gradually try to hold it for longer and longer periods of time.

Just being aware that you have a 'normal' feeling is part of having ADA, so I think that is a good sign that you are developing ADA. I think your state of consciousness will affect the feeling you get while practicing it as well. If your brain is experiencing alpha-waves, for example, and you remember to practice ADA, you might have a completely different feeling than if your brain was experiencing beta-waves. The more calm and at ease your mind is while you practice ADA, the more you might get the special feelings that you are wondering about. A calm awareness of your breathing is an irreplaceable technique for that.
I hope this helps. Good luck, Noeul.

I think the key to remember here is that, unlike believers of OBE (out-of-body-experience), lucid dreaming isn't really "magic". If ADA helps you lucid dream, it too will only be a part of natural existence. You shouldn't experience any sort of spiritual "awakening" because of ADA, but rather the act itself should shift you into a different sort of mind-set. Any feeling related to that act would be up to you!

Good luck with ADA! It might take some time before it pays off but it's really worth it. Not only it makes you lucid but it also practically makes stabilizing an automatism, making your LDs last many times longer. Just try to be aware as much as possible and when you will start doing it automatically or as an habit it should translate to your dreams!

      Happy dreams,
      Simon

As others have said, there is no "special" feeling, only a feeling of being more aware, which you are. All Day Awareness can take a while to set in to your daily lifestyle, and you might find yourself forgetting about it quite often. Don't get demotivated by this, and remember that it takes practice and a lot of dedication to engrain it into yourself. Remember that it isn't only a technique, but it is a lifestyle. Congratulations on starting this huge journey, and don't give up! Remember that the progress you make daily may not be visible. Every day you practice ADA and perform Reality Checks, you are reinforcing the idea that you want to lucid dream, and this itself is progress.

      Good luck!
