      Exclamation HELP!! lucid dreaming dilemma + scared to lucid dream?!? :C

      before i start, I'M NOT QUITTING LUCID DREAMING!

      at school my friend told me this scary stuff,, (demonic) and it scared me for a long time...
      it's basically haunting my mind... so, i'm scared that when i enter a lucid dream, i might accidentally summon something scary even though i don't want anything scary. hard to explain but it's like thinking about... demons... and your mind randomly yells "summon a demon" and it scares the hell out of you, or even worse, it wakes you up.

      and the whole dilemma is, WHAT SHOULD I DO? i'm clueless of what to do.. :C

      Yeah, I understand what you mean. That happens to me a lot, the don't think about it then my mind says it. I know how you feel about being scared of it too. I first was when I learned about lucid dreams. There's no reason to be afraid though. All it is is a dream, nothing religious or anything. Well, I guess you could escalate it to that but that's off topic. Nothing can harm you in a lucid dream, it's all figments of your imagination. I once had a LD where I had a FA and there was a dark hooded figure standing above me. Looking back on it, it looked like the Grim Reaper. I said "Hi! How's it going?" Because I knew that I was dreaming, and I knew it wouldn't be scary. It responded "Good. And you?" In a very high-pitched voice. Even if you do summon something accidentally (which is very hard to do) just remember it cannot hurt you, and none of it is real.

      I don't understand the question. A couple points:

      1) demons aren't a real thing, scientifically. If they're real spiritually, lucid dreaming wouldn't allow them to get you, only weakness for sin;
      2) lucid dreams give you MORE control over the dream, not less;
      3) if you're dwelling on this, "they" could appear in your non-lucid dreams anyway.

      This. If you accidentally summon a demon it is just as easy to purposely summon a kitten in its place. There is nothing to be scared of in a lucid dream.

      If you wake up from a lucid dream, then you try again and again, until you don't wake up. There are ways to stabilize a dream and to try to stay in the dream longer, here is a link to the DV tutorial on dream stabilization:

      Dream Stabilization and Clarity Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

      Edit: incidentally I better review that tutorial myself. Last night I became lucid and immediately woke up, and no demons were present so I can't blame them, just me and my washer and dryer in the dream version of my laundry room.
