Have you ever wondered that if you play chess with yourself, subconscious self inside a lucid dream, what will happen? Who will be the winner? |

Interesting, I have though about it but then I always think the other me would probably just destroy the chessboard or do some other silly things after the first few moves. |

If not something dumb, then he probably beats me while telling me useful tips hidden in sentences. |

"Victory loves preparation."
I would love to try this, would be rather interesting. |

~~~~~{Lucid Dream Goals}~~~~~
~~{Look at my hands}-{Find a light switch}-{Eat something}~~
I have never tried it, but i don't think you will be able to complete chess, unless you end it in 5-10 moves. You probably could do moves untill you wake up, but i really don't think the game you played will even be close to accurate. Although, maybe if you have some really good focus.. The winner will be you, since you play against you. |
All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.
It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.
Honestly, I don't know if I'd be able to focus on a chess board in a dream. It would probably devolve into the Calvinball variant of chess. I wonder if there's anything special about the unconcious when it comes to board games like that. Who would win anyway? |
Wouldn't it be extremely difficult to remembering where all the chess pieces are at any given time? You would have to if you were to going to play any form of coherent game of chess. Should you forget where they all were, they could move around the chess table or disappear altogether forcing you to restart the game. |
My Lucid Dreaming Motto - "I have walked upon the the surface of a burning star. Observed events so infinitesimal and instantaneous that they can barely be described as having occurred at all. You... you're just a dream character. And this world's most powerful dream character poses no more threat to me than it's smartest cupcake." - Dr. Manhattan (kinda)
Interesting, i think result will vary depending on expectations, though for me we would prolly get bored midgame and turn it into some kind of turn based video game instead, haha, i am not really a chess player myself. It would be even more interesting if it would be living chess and one would play as an actual king, haha. |
Chess diagrams are actually very stable in dreams, so I would imagine you could play chess with little difficulty. |
