First Time Lucid Dreaming

I want to try to Lucid Dreaming, are there any tips or something that can help me to maybe wake up from it, be able to control it, and try to make it last long. I have an alarm clock and plan to use that if my lucid dream can last that long. I hear my friend is able to do it and he has been doing it for a while and told me to try it. I just wanted to know before I tried it. Any tips would help I really am fascinated by lucid dreaming.

Sure. Look at the main forum page. The section marked introduction will have threads at the top. Read some of those. Then go to the area called induction. Read the tutorials at the top. Not only will it give you a lot of ideas, reading that stuff will get your brain thinking about LDs, which is your best way to start. And welcome to DV

Welcome! Lucid dreaming is amazing indeed, you can do everything! Why would you want to wake up though?
