      Question Getting back into it?

Hey guys, it's been about a year since I've gotten into lucid dreaming and recording my dreams in a dream journal but I've hit a snag. I'm not sure what happened but since the end of May I haven't written down one dream in my dream journal. I was really into it and even had a couple lucid dreams although they didn't last very long at all. I loved my dream recall, everything was so vivid and I talked to my friend about them over coffee every once in awhile. So I don't get it, why did I stop? I still have my journal under my bed and I still want to lucid dream but I can barely recall any of my dreams anymore. All I can remember from this morning's dream is that I had a massive nosebleed and that's about it. Nothing compared to what I used to be able to remember. So I'm here and asking you guys, has this happened to you before? Do you know of anything that I can do to help me get back into the mood? Thanks in advance!

Maybe put the journal someplace where it's easier to get to? Putting it where you could see it and easily access it might make you more motivated to use it. Many times, I lose motivation to write down dreams as well simply because getting up and turning on the light is a pain. Sometimes though, you just have to deal with it and tell yourself that if you write down your dreams you'll improve your recall.

To improve your recall, upon awakening, remember to lie still with your eyes closed for a few minutes and think about what you dreamed about. Usually you'll remember more stuff this way. Then be sure to write it down! As you continue to do this, your dream memory will improve and you'll have better recall. You've gotten to that point before so you could do it again.

To get back into the mood of LDing, turn sleeping into a game! Challenge yourself to see how many dreams you could remember and if you could get lucid. When you make it fun, you get motivated and stay motivated, especially when you experience success.
