      Trying to lucid my dream

Hello everyone , i'm new to this forum i'm interesting about lucid dream too and i like to share my problem about this. Usually the dreams I try to recognize if I'm in a dream or not is when I see nightmares, the reason that I make this thought when I see nightmares are about whether I will be able to face them, most of the times I dream while I make this question about whether am I dreaming I feel a pressure in the chest and I wake up, but when I wake up I’m breathing not fast as I felt as I was in a dream. This often happens lately, don't hold notes about them when I wake up, I do not looking in the mirror, do not count my fingers, all I do is to ask myself if I dream when I see nightmares and try to convince myself that I dream and how do I combat my nightmares. It is possible to be able to facing your nightmares? The being in a lucid dream means that you have the ability to be completely free to your desires?
Am i close to being able to lie in a lucid dream?

      hey
Well, basically being lucid simply means to recognise that you are dreaming while you still are in your current dream. So being lucid doesn't necessarily mean that you can control your dream. So yes, you can face your nightmares and try figuring out what they are supposed to tell you when you are lucid. When you can control your lucid dream you might be able to change the plot: Let's say you might confront yourself with your fears in your nightmares to find out why certain nightmares are re-occuring. Or you can just change the plot completely and end the nightmare, but I think it's better to face fears instead of just pushing them aside.

I don't quite get your last question. What do you mean by lieing in a lucid dream?

Saying there is no alien life in the universe is like dipping a cup in the ocean and saying there are no whales.
