What to expect after your first LD?

I had my first LD two nights ago (after weeks of trying) using the DILD and it was amazing! The night after I had no recall at all just a feeling of knowing that I had a dream. Then last night all I could recall was a picture of a 20s style car tire streached out along a dirt road. No movement just a picture.
Is it normal to get nothing after your first time? Maybe i'm trying to hard? i'm really just hoping that its not going to take another few months to have another LD.

      Congrats on your first!
I don't think recall drop is related to that lucid, must be just a coincidence, so don't overthink about it and think positive! Have you had any major changes in life or sleeping schedule or any stresses recently? Those may be causes of recall drop, or it could be caused by something else, and either way, it will surely be back eventually.

You shouldn't have those kind of thoughts. As Scionox said, think positive. Or even, don't think hard about it. I always think "When it happens, it happens." It can take 1 day, 1 month or more. I don't care. I just know it will happen. And i don't stress about it. And it has been good.

      Ohhh congratz
I'm certain that you will have your next LD very soon if you put in some motivation, determination and confidence! No worries.... with practice you will soon have more LDs - just be a little patient. I had my second LD 11 days after my first one. It varies with everyone, but if you believe in yourself then you will have your next LD very soon (maybe tonight?! )

Concerning the recall: that's normal.... I have had dramatic changes. One night I recalled 8 dreams, then one night nothing, and the next night 2 and then 11.... But usually it varies between 3 and 6. What is your schedule like? Enough sleep? Consistent times every night? WBTB sessions? If you don't have at least 6 hours of sleep and a bit consistency in your schedule then I would highly recommend that you get more sleep if time allows I go to bed very early even though it's school just to have one or two WBTB sessions This increases my recall and the chance to have a LD as well! So as you can see there are many ways to organise and regulate your time of sleep to maximise your chances of having a good recall and more LDs... Just experiment a litte - good luck and sweet dreams.

I can't think of any unusual stresses at the moment except the in-laws are arriving today, but that could very well be it!

I should have picked up on that bit being I'm a firm believer in the LoA. I'll definitely stay positive and take it one night at a time!

I usually get five and a half to six hours of sleep during the week and a lot more on the weekends.
After reading the link Scionox provided I am going to be experimenting a lot more.

What to expect after your first LD?

      More LDs.

If you keep practicing, that is.
