      Just a thought...............

But does the Un-conscious mind record every dream, lucid or not as well as everything we see, feel, etc in every day life. It would be quite amazing if we all had a "Library' of recorded dreams even though we may have no direct access to them. I guess like a long lost DVD collection of the Mind.

Yes, they are possibly locked away in there somewhere, but what about those 'Hiidden Gems' we do not recall ??.

Sort of. We subconsciously notice and remember a lot more than we realize. We can't consciously process all of the information we are exposed to, because it would overload us, but it is recorded to some degree. I've heard that we can access some of this information during dreaming much better than when awake, becuase the barrier between conscious and unconscious thought it much thinner then.

Do you mean this information dissipates or is always there to some extent. I have had many recurring dreams so this must support this idea. Or does the unconscious get rid of excess baggage so to speak ???. Ok, I am digging here, but if our brains technically need more 'RAM', is this why our dreams are so fragmented and ludicrous ??.

Most of our subconscious database will fade, just the same as conscious memories, if not used often enough. Our memories don't have an infinite capacity (though it is much larger than some might realize), and old memories must be deleted to make way for the new ones. I'm not quite sure what you mean with your last question. Are you asking if our dreams are fragmented because of half-intact subconscious memories?

Sort of but does this hold if some of my dreams, memories are from very early Childhood rather than last week for instance?.

The next time you go Lucid, simply access you Dream Memory by attempting to remember something, for instance, "when was the last time I was here?", or "Do I recognize any of these dream characters? " You might be surprised at the depth and volume of the memories that will spring up. It will give you some indication of the tremendous volume of Dream Content that is not being consciously remembered, but still resides in the Subconscious Mind which can easily be summoned up by the Dreaming Self.
