Lucid dreams or dreaming about LDs?

Hello, Since a few years, I had a couple of lucid dreams. They were not that intense, so I could only control them a little. And I’m not sure if they were really lucid dreams. When I realised I was dreaming I was very curious about what happend, so I started researching. I found out that it’s called Lucid dreaming and that you can train it. I have started with RCs in my daily life. I’ve always checked my fingers, because I have read that they are not normal in dreams. Then I started checking my hands in my dreams (once in 1-2 months) and they were always much shorter. From that moment I knew I was dreaming. So I started flying. I can’t remeber where I flew. In every LD i started flying. Except in one. I tried to „make“ women. I did work, but not how I wanted it. Of course you know, what I was planning to do in that dream. But that didn’t work out. The controlling in my dreams doesn’t work well. I can only remember ~20% (I guess). And after that LD I wake up…in another dream. Not always, but some times. Is it possible that these weren’t lucid dreams and I was only dreaming of lucid dreams and doing RCs? Or are these „weak“ LDs normal in the beginning?

As your ability to focus and maintain attention increases, you will remember more of the dream. In general, we forget portions of dreams where we become so wrapped up in what we are doing that we become ungrounded. You might remind yourself to stop every so often, take in your surroundings, and say, "I want to remember this." You will probably remember it.
