      Don't Give up!

      Just few words of encouragement

I started lucid dreaming in early 2012, I wrote in my DJ faithfully and did my RCs faithfully for 2 weeks straight. After that I started having lucids like crazy! Somewhere along the road I lost consistency, although I did still journal I had still had some lucids as well. Here in late 2013 just recently I started back again. After about 3 or 4 days of consistent practice I had around 6-7 lucids in a week total.

Now that's a huge accomplishment for me, I know it may be different for others but the point I'm trying to make is to stay CONSISTENT! Consistency is the key to success, along the way you will encounter trial and error and hopefully you learn from that. There is no magical technique out there that will make you lucid in every single dream. Try sticking with one technique for at LEAST a month to see some results THEN iron out the bugs.

I've talked to a few dreamers and everything they've told me is falling into place now. It's all starting to make sense. Lucid dreaming shouldn't be complex but a lot of people make it that way. There are a few basic guidelines to get one started but at the end of the day you have to find what works for you!

      Keep your heads up!

Thanks a lot for the kind words.

What technique are you using ? Besides keeping a DJ I mean.

Very well put, and I can agree. I started LDing in 2008 and at first, I had LDs every day. Whenever you hit a dry spell you just have to reconsider what you are doing, and go at it from a different angle!

      Thanks for the post!

Do not try and bend the spoon--that's impossible. Instead only try and realize the truth...there is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends

      it is only yourself

I do DILD for a number of reasons therefore I practice ADA. Throughout the day I ask myself "am I dreaming?" and usually look around my environment to see if anything is weird. At this point I'm using all my senses, then I nose pinch a few times just to make sure.

I've had a handful of lucids that came from random RCs, all the rest were from awareness. In my opinion if you're really serious about it, increase your awareness. I can't even emphasize how much more you'll notice things in your dreams.

No problem! I think every dreamer has gone through a dry spell or two and they aren't fun! You really just have to dissect it. My mentor has opened my mind so much more than what it was. I realized that I didn't have all the answers no matter how much experience I have.
