Could've been just a vivid dream. It only counts as "lucid" if you realize/know that you're dreaming. Although it was vivid and there were some things that may convince you that it could've been control, it was most likely just part of the dream. |

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I was just wondering if you guys could help me out. Ever since I studied lucid dreaming a few weeks ago, this past weekend I had a dream where I became a vampire. I looked into some girl's eyes and said don't scream, and I bit in to her neck and sucked her blood. But what the weird thing was, was that I was enjoying it and the blood had tasted sweet, and I remember me tasting it in the dream and what the blood tasted like. I know for a fact blood doesnt taste this way in real life, but it did in the dream, and that was the first time I had ever really felt something in a dream, I could actually taste it! That was pretty weird, but it was the first time I could remember a sense in my dream, and im not sure if that was lucidity because I remember how vivid it was. Afterward, I remember I was getting very angry and I could throw chairs really high up into the air, I was much stronger than I really am. This is the first time I could remember a dream this into detail and I am not sure what kind of dream or lucid dream it would be classified as, or if you guys knew any of what I was talking about. But if you can give me some help on what this type of dream is that would be great! I also was not controlling myself but I was aware of what was happening. |

Hey, thanks for moving my topic. I was wondering what your thoughts were on shared dreaming? Is there a special place I have to go to meet people in my dream? Is there a guide? What are your thoughts has it happened to you? Let me know of you can thank you!! |

Shared dreaming is still a pretty arguable topic, for discussions on that look at the Beyond Dreaming subforum. |

Well, to me it's always super easy to differ a Lucid Dream from a normal dream, because a normal dream always feel like a strong thought, usually 3rd person and as you said can't remember most senses. A Lucid Dream I always look trough trough my actual eyes, can feel everything and almost always have control of everything, tough sometimes I follow my instinct to the point it's like I only think I have control. The waking awareness is always there too, I always feel myself lying in my bed, totally aware that it's all a dream even tough everything is so perfect to real life. Also, as you said, you can remember everything in great detail of your environment and theres never any gaps in time as there in normal dreams. |
