hi guys. im a 30 year old guy. mental disabled(cognitive disablity) and but anyways...I used to practice dream recall with dream journal like 2 years ago and i did it for a few months . My recall was getting great , i kinda got some snippets of Lucidity but not relaly full lucidity.

Like i remember in one dream i went "Hey this is a dream" but i couldn't really feel it much. i also have had vivid nightmares that feel like i'm there to be killed or whatever with vivid fear. But i can't realize that i'm dreaming for some reason.

What does it take to achieve lucidity? Do i have to be all day long during my wake life doing Reality checks like crazy? I do some reality checks, but just like little bit like just 5 minutes a day doing reality checks looking at my hands. But that never transfers into the dream world. so i never realize that i'm dreaming.


So do i have to do this:
1. Reality checks all day long like crazy even talking to myself
2. nonstop saying mantras for 2 hours or more when i'm about to sleep?
