Interesting, I have the same problem, or used to at least. I find increasing lucidity helps the problem. A common method for increasing lucidity is staring at your hands and using verbal commands, such as "Increase lucidity" and "Focus now!". I used those in my LD last night and it helped me get deeper into my dream. The only problem is I could feel my contacts in my eyes, since I fell asleep in them. |

Yeah, Seems as though whilst in your dream, you may not feel as though you are completely in control. Thus, leading you to beleive that you can't fully open your eyes/they feel heavy. |
