Like Laurelindo said, focus on the dreamworld, not on the real world. I've had similar problems before and found that pulling my attention to the dream and not being aware of the real world (although of course, being aware that I'm dreaming) has definitely helped. The point of stabilization is to truly grasp the world around you so you stay focused in it.
Also, tell yourself you won't wake up, you're in charge of your dreams, you wake up when you choose to. Get the idea in your head that nothing in the dream can happen without your consent. Autosuggestion is the best way to go about this I think, really, since it sounds like you waking up is a result of a fear of you waking up--and you know how dreams work: expectations influence absolutely everything. Start expecting, truly expecting, that you won't wake up (or only will when you want to), and you should see some better results.
If you do wake up, the best thing to do is just DEILD back to sleep and continue with the dream (probably what you've already been doing). DEILD chaining can be pretty cool, since you get to chain LDs over and over through the night.
