      Yeah.
"Hello. klara songi. Nice to meet you."
      and
"Hello. Lucid Be. Nice to meet you."
      are too strange imo.
And the L sign stands for looser.

I'd like a symbol more, like the Ichtys for the ancient Christians.

In every process of creation there are four steps.

      1. Inspiration.

      2. Imagination.

      3. Decision.

      4. Manifestation.

This thread is only for Imagination, in other words, typing up as many ideas as you want for the greeting.

      The threads for Decision:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...al-visual.html

      http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...ad-verbal.html

We decide by voting through the Like system. Go through the posts in the above threads, and like the posts which you like, and the ones you don't like, just don't vote for.

Please refrain from any commenting about ideas in this thread, which restricts imagination since every idea you come up with you decide if it's "good" or "bad" before you type it with that mentality, instead of just typing up a bunch of wild crazy silly ideas. We do not need to convince others that some ideas are "good" or "bad" because the the two ideas which the community likes the most, will be Liked the most. Please don't take this seriously! It's just for fun!

In this Brainstorm thread, come up with as many ideas as you want. Then, you may decide which of those you like the best, and post your favorite ideas in the two other threads.

Wave, and immediately count your fingers as you wave.

Make a triangle over your forehead.

Smack your own butt as you shake hands.

Stand on your left leg, and grab your right foot with your left hand.

      "Hellucid. Nice to meet you."

      "Shalucid."

      "Namalucidity."

      "Alucidha."

      "Ola songi."

      Hop three times.

      "lucid lucid lucid lucid LUUUUUUUUUUUUUCID"

Shake hands, and poke the back of the other person's hand.

Shake hands, and nose pinch RC.

Shake hands, then count your fingers, and look at both sides of your hands.

"Hi. Dream Lucid. What's your name?"

"Hello. My name is Lucid _____. Nice to meet you."

Buut: If somebody said "Live Lucid and Prosper" - even like that in Germany - the LDers would get it - esp. if you make a pronunciation to go with the "live" that invites to ponder that dreaming is included in living - and that somebody announcing lucid living in Spok-ish, surely does LD as well..
And those who do not - at the worst think you are a presumptuous hobby philosopher.

I actually think, simply the use of the word lucid alone in common tongue will tip of others - at least as in go cryptic back on you.
I hardly ever read it clearly "off topic".

In German - I might do it like this:

The word is Klar-Traum - with klar meaning clear basically. But klar can also be used as "of course" - like clearly also can.
If I give a bit of an off emphasis on it - I could say - Klar kann man träumen.
Clearly one can/one is allowed to dream.
Dreaming would be mainly understood as in making ambitious plans/daydreaming to the un-initiated..
Cool! In Esperanto Klara means Lucid.

      Either/or.

@StephL That's a great idea for a catchy German phrase. I really love the ambiguity of it!

I sort of update my own discovery count there - lastly I found some on my darts-forum.
Muuch more interest and actual experiences came up, than I expected - maybe one or the other will click my links to DV I put up.

Got to maybe think of a further small link-list, I personally would like to water these darter´s mouths with.

Yeah. We connect in many ways.

The key is the matching response. It could be something natural like "(Nice) to meet you" swapped out with a word that isn't used that often, perhaps "(Splendid) to meet you." The response could be "Splendid to meet you too, interesting word choice...splendid." If you want to be sure, maybe the first person responds to the responder "deja vu."

There could be a separate saying for acquaintances that you haven't discussed LDing with before, perhaps an exact, short phrase like "Whoa, deja vu." Again, the key is the matching response, maybe "It sounds like you need to unplug" (both from The Matrix). If the first person meant nothing related to LDing by using the deja vu phrase and looks at you strange with the "unplug" response, you can say "oh...your deja vu comment just reminded me of a line in the The Matrix." (you can decide from there if you want to discuss LDing at all).
Whoah! My wife said in her sleep the other night: I NEED TO BE UNPLUGGED, YOU NEED TO UNPLUG ME!

I thought she was awake, and I said back, "What? You're not plugged into anything." I got no response so I assumed she was sleeping.

I find the idea of using code words fascinating, and the obvious greetings about dreaming are also cool. Thanks for all your ideas, everyone.

I meant to link two other threads to this Mother Thread.

The purpose of this thread is for brainstorming the Visual and Verbal Lucid Dreamer Greetings. Brainstorming means simply listing many random, good/bad, silly/awesome ideas to get the creative juices flowing, and for chatting about ideas. We are not voting on ideas in this thread, so list as many ideas as you want.

These two threads listed below are for One-Idea-One-Post Submissions to the Greeting Ideas so we can vote on Single Ideas by using the Like Button.

Here are the links to the two other threads:
