Understood, ok. Idea #1 - matching response - meeting first time:

"Splendid to meet you." The response would be "Splendid to meet you too, interesting word choice...splendid." If you want to be sure, the first person responds to the responder "deja vu."

Idea #2 - matching response - people you are already acquainted with:

"Whoa, deja vu." The matching response is "It sounds like you need to unplug" (both from The Matrix).

Hmmm... I like this idea, but saying lucid or dream in a conversation would seem weird to people around you. I think it would be better to do something like rearrange the words in a sentence. Some of them depend too much on you meeting someone and no one introducing you. It may seem wierd to say one or two words a bit jumbled, but if it is a sentence that people already know what you are going to say, most people dont even think about it, and if you want to be a littlediscreet instead of sounding insane (llike I sometimes do, but not out of character for me) you can just toss a Yoda sentence out there.

Thanks ravanoos. I am making a thread right now of anything that anyone might ever ask me about how I LD. It is taking a while. I am not that great at it though. Waking Nomad here has way more than me (my DJ has a running tally).

      Here is how this works:

      1. Post a single idea for a verbal Lucid Dreamer Greeting we can say whenever we meet new people.

      2. Post as many times as you wish. (within reason!)

      3. Read through the entire thread, and Like all the posts with your favorite phrases.

      4. The post (not including this one!) with the most Likes by 1/14/2014 will become the Unofficial International Lucid Dreamer Greeting!

Sorry. I don't know what I did wrong. Maybe discussion instead of just posting 1 idea for voting? Or not voting for anyone else's? I sent a few votes out now, and here is what I would like to nominate:

      1) say words in a sentence backwards.

take your phone out and say:
"Sorry, this drraming app notifies a lot"
I fill my heart with fire, with passion, passion for what makes me nostalgic. A unique perspective fuels my fire, makes me discover new passions, more nostalgia. I love it.

I agree to some extent, but the word "dream" is used quite often in normal speech and with a little effort LD'ers could use it as the secret password. It may make you seem a bit spacey but here are some ideas ...
I have a dream that it won't rain today.
I have a dream that I will go to Greece on vacation.
      I have a dream ... girl ... there she is >>>
Imagine a place where everything that can happen, does happen; where past, present, and future are all together; a kaleidoscope of worlds – form without substance, ripples upon ripples upon waves upon waves of pure experience – limitless worlds of possibility, existing beyond time ... This is the world ... we visit each night in our dreams.
