      drunk/high in a dream?

      hey peeps

is it possible to feel the effects of marijuana/alcohol in a LD? If you have ever done these in waking life, your body knows how it feels. I would say your subconscious would be able to replicate that effect. On the other way, there are no active substances in your brain that give the effects of marijuana/alcohol. Is it still possible to replicate the EXACT same effects, or would it just be a ' not exactly the same' feeling?
Does this depend on your visualization skills?

In a normal dream, i've smoked weed, drank and done coke and nothing happened, except that when i smoked weed instead of high i got kinda drunk or something. But i na LD things may be different, your subconscious builds the whole thing based on your experiences and beliefs, but i still don't think its possible to replicate the EXACT same effects

You can get completely blasted in an LD. Every effect that you get from drugs actually is the release of various neurotransmitters or other chemicals. The drug itself only works like a key to cause such a release. So, your brain has access to every thing it needs to recreate any drug effect what so ever. In an LD you can even experience the effects of LSD or mushrooms. In just the H.I./H.H. process you can experience intense narcotic rushes and some fairly intense hallucinations.

There are probably better things to do with LDs, but it is much better that you experiment with getting high using H.I. or LDs than doing drugs.

hmm, that is interesting.. So you're saying neurotransmitters are being released within the LD, without a drug triggering that releasement?

I agree that there are a lot more better things to do in a lucid dream, but i was thinking how it would be to combine a drug effect AND do do your regular amazing lucid dreaming stuff. I really like how marijuana makes music more beautiful and colors more intense. For instance, flying over a big city in nighttime. How intense all the city lights would be. Or walking through a field of sunflowers with a beautifull summer song in the background. The sun making the sunflowers even more pretty than they are, and you, walking there, in the middle of the scene, enjoying the tranquility of the set..

Yep, no problem there. You should be able to experience that pretty easy.

I highly doubt the neurotransmitters theory because it's not like we can induce big changes in dopamine/serotonin in dreams because it wouldn't be safe, I do believe that you can induce effects of drugs though, just not by actually releasing hormones in our brain.

I can't comment on the precise chemical breakdown of the mind's makeup when you have a LD involving drugs, but I've definitely had 1-2 dreams (not lucid, iirc) where I felt high.

I think it'd be awesome to "create" the effect in an LD though. You'd probably have a crazier trip than you've ever had IRL if you did.

I've never smoked marijuana, although I have in a non-lucid dream and I felt the effects, or at least what I thought they were at the time. I felt like I was floating, and relaxed. I thought about it for the entirety of the next day.

More frequently, I do feel the euphoric type of feeling you get from taking LSD in my dreams. It's wonderful.
