      LD newbie questions and plans.

Hey guys , i got hooked by the idea of controlling your dreams with LD's and registered on this board.

I'm 15 years old and visit school. So aside from weekends i only have 8 hours of sleep when i go stop sleep around 22:00 and have to wake up 6am.

I never had a lucid dream , i think so atleast. Back in the day i had a dream where i was about to get killed by someone at the end and paniced. I told to myself THIS IS A DREAM! THIS IS A DREAM! WAKE UP NOW! and just shook my head like mad. Waked up and my heart was pounding. Really exciting feeling! I don't know if this counts as a LD because in one second i kinda realized i'm able to free myself if i wake up.

So in the last two days since picking LD up i read much in this board and on other LD sites.

This is what i came up with and want to train from now on. I really would appreciate to year your opinion about this schedule and/or what to change.

So during the day i want to do serious RC's as often as possible. I want to pick 3 elements each day and everytime something revolves around them i make a RC. I want to do around five RC's.
The most important one is asking myself 'What did i do before and where do i come from?' 'What am i doing?' What am i going to do?'. Then the hand RC. Then the thumb through hand RC. Then the nose RC. Then the phone RC.

I want to perform ADA atleast three times a day for 5minutes-10 and increasing the duration of beeing able to keep it up.

I want to eat health and and much VB6 so i mean meat , cheese and bread. One hour before going to sleep i want to shut of my eyes from light. Finish everything i have to do for the next day one hour before going to sleep.

Then i rewind everything that happened during the day and try to remember as many details as possible. After doing that i try to not think about my problems and the stuff that happened during that day anymore.

Then i want to read my DJ that i update immediately after waking up during the phases. I try to imagine a projection of myself in the surroundings of the previous dream. Then after cutting myself of from all lights , worries and noises i lay onto my bed and repeat the mantra 'I will have a LD today!' until sleeping. I set the alarm clock for 5 hours after laying onto bed. Then i perform a WBTB write down the dreams i managed to remember and try to have a WILD with the Mantra in my head.

So this is what i WANT to do to achieve a LD.
Please tell me what i should change or any tips regarding achieving it.

Lastly i've a few questions i'd like to ask

So basically i always have felt like i have no mind in a dream. It's just like a movie playing in my head while i absolutely think NOTHING. Is this normal and if yes how are you supposed to realize the RC's when you cant think at all.

While performing RC in real life how do you pretend not beeing sure if its a dream or not? Should i just blank out my mind with the question 'Am i awake or am i dreaming?' because basicially you already know it's reality and i dont know how to pretend like it's a dream.

Thanks for the hardwork everybody and thanks for the read. Tips and feedback are really appreciated!

Sounds great, although the number of RC's may be a little tad bit overkill . Two or three is good enough for most people, but it's up to you really. Just be sure to REALLY question your reality and not go about RC's mindlessly.

Good luck on your lucid endeavors!

      Hey and welcome!
Sounds like a lot of things to do! ^^ I totally agree and personally I would limit the number of RC to the 2 RCs that you like most.
Your schedule seems well prepared and looks great, but I am just a tiny little bit worried about being able to keep all those things up every single day. I am definitely not saying that you can't do it - don't get me wrong here! I am just saying that I had a similar schedule before and if things don't work out as you want them to, it's very easy to get demotivated quickly so I would remove some points to cut yourself a little slack and the abilitiy to keep at it with a little more ease.

      Concerning your question:
That's why you're doing your awareness-practices - to change this "no mind"-thing! So just keep going... the more attention you pay in waking life the more this very same skill will develop in your dreaming world. Just critically evaluate and question your role in life, how things are, what happens to you, etc...

I'm not quite sure concerning the 2nd question. But after having had my first LD I always actually believed in the possibility of waking life being a dream. I mean - dreams seem real, don't they?? And so does waking life. So just consider it. Just think "wait, hold on. I have just ignored all those things going on around me! What if it all was a dream now...?" and then you can do your RC(s)!

If you encounter any more questions feel free to ask.
      good luck and sweet dreams!
