      Few Questions.

Hi i'm new here but its not my first post. I posted few days ago and didn't get any replies but its ok. Its been 7 days since i started doing RC and questioning myself what was i doing and such things. I got 5 dreams out of 7 days. After i get really good at dream recall and when i can remember them everyday what should i do next? Will i just be aware in the dream or i need to do something before going to bed or waking up and going to sleep again?

Also when i get Lucid will i be able to summon person i want? and does it need to be someone who i already talked to because then i guess it will be easier. I want to have some conversations with old friends and get over my anxiety. Thanks!

"After i get really good at dream recall and when i can remember them everyday what should i do next?" - Together with recalling dreams you should develop your awareness (by developing the waking one, you also develop the dreaming one, and it's awareness that gets you lucid). You should do the two things together, so even if you don't remember many dreams, develop your awareness during the day, ask yourself whether you are dreaming and really question your reality, challenge yourself with tricky questions (Is everything ok? Where am I? What was I doing before? And even before?), focus on the details of your environment and on yourself (meditation helps). Besides, developing your awareness also helps in dream recall, so the two things go together. Do RC's only to confirm your suspicion after you've become aware, don't do them mindlessly.

"Will i just be aware in the dream or i need to do something before going to bed or waking up and going to sleep again?" - When going to bed I usually repeat some mantras and do some visualizations of myself becoming lucid in a dream and stabilizing it. If you wake up in the middle of the night you can try some WILD techniques..I only attempted it once, so I can't really give you advice, but on the forums there are many tutorials. Anyway, if I were you, I'd stick to the DILD for a while. Another important thing: at some point you may start having some dreams where you dream of becoming lucid, without actually becoming lucid, that's ok, keep going and work more on your awareness during the day and your visualizations.

"Also when i get Lucid will i be able to summon person i want? and does it need to be someone who i already talked to because then i guess it will be easier." - It helps summoning people you know, but you can also visualize some imaginary character/people you don't know. Last night I summoned a wolf that I had visualized and never seen for example.

p.s. Are you dreaming right now?

Thanks for the reply. How much time did you need in order to do stuff you do now and does lucid dream feel same as real life? Everyone said that is all the same but only your hands change and electronics don't work well and clocks too. What kind of meditation you practice? I always first do RC then i ask myself what i did or should i do the other way around? I say matras like "During my dreams i will be aware that i'm dreaming" but before that i try to remember every detail i did during the day.

Also how much your lucid dreams last? Do they last enough so that you may have lots of fun and exciting experiences.. or is it short?

p.s. What you mean am i dreaming right now ? I did RC and i'm not if you meant that lol.

EDIT: I also got question related to dream signs. I dream my friends from middle and high school and my family members too.. in every dream there is one of those things, either friends or family(mom, dad, brother). I spend my day at PC and doing pretty much nothing "usefull" but i'm having fun. So will it be good idea to find all the pictures from people that show in my dream and then 2-3 times a day look at them and do RC? Or if you have better idea pls suggest. I really want to learn everything about LD .

Sorry for too many questions, i'm just so curious

How much time did you need in order to do stuff you do now and does lucid dream feel same as real life?

I am not really sure about the first part of the question, but i usually meditate for 15 minutes a day.
It took my 2 weeks before i had my first lucid dream.

Lucid dreams can be verry vivid and real. But this really depends, somtimes the dream can be really foggy and unclear. What i have been doing to improve this is trying to inspect everything, ect picking up a rock and
      studying the details.
Btw, electronics do somtimes work and they somtimes dont. Its just that the mind does not find it natural to touch a button to change the ligth or flicking a lever to move objekts.

What kind of meditation you practice?

I dont know if it got a special name though. What i usually do is:

      1. Streching the largest muscles in the body.
      2. Find a comfertable sitting position.
      3. Close my eyes.
      4. Inhale as much air as i am able to do.
      5. Slowly breathe out.

After that ill just repeat the mantra " I am aware and my dreams are vivid "
but ofcourse you can choose whatever mantra you want.

Also how much your lucid dreams last? Do they last enough so that you may have lots of fun and exciting experiences.. or is it short?

Somthing that is really normal during your first few lucid dreams is to wake up in exitement,
and when that happens your lucid state usually only last for 1-10 secounds.

I have heard that lucid dreams can last up to 40-50 minutes because the longes REM period of your sleep can be that long.
But the longes LD i have ever experienced is probably at about 20 minutes( watches do not work in MY dreams lol ).
But you can do loads of fun stuff in 40 minutes.

I am really really sorry for the last question, i dont think i am qualified to answer that because i dont use dream signs.

if you havent read Dream view's page on dream signs

      IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:

This is my experiences, and lucid dreaming is different for everyone.
But since lucid dreaming and lucid dream control is 95% based on expectations
what i said will probably work for you if you take my word for it xD, it would probably also work if
i didnt tell you this "MEGA FACEPALM"

"How much time did you need in order to do stuff you do now and does lucid dream feel same as real life?" - I had my first lucid after a week, and since both Huf and many other meditating lucid dreamers have experienced this, I guess meditation works in that sense I'm not really an expert, I've had only 5-6 other LD's since then so I'm not really a master at controlling them, but I've noticed that it all comes down to expectations: if I want to summon a character, for example, I find it easier to assume they are behind a door and come up with some rationalitasions as to why they are ("Oh, of course, DC is waiting for me behind the door!") rather than spinning hoping they'll come up. Concerning the vividness, yes, they are real life vivid, it always amazes me, but it also depends on the dream, not all of them are super vivid.

"Also how much your lucid dreams last? Do they last enough so that you may have lots of fun and exciting experiences.. or is it short?" - it depends..once again, it comes down to expectations, if you expect it to be stable and long lasting, it will. I haven't had very long lucid dreams (especially because, "strangely", I always look for ways to have sex ^^), but I guess that with some little practice one can have very long, vivid and stable ones

"p.s. What you mean am i dreaming right now ? I did RC and i'm not if you meant that lol." - Oh, nothing, just a reminder

"So will it be good idea to find all the pictures from people that show in my dream and then 2-3 times a day look at them and do RC? Or if you have better idea pls suggest" - I was about to say "just stop spending so much time in front of a screen and go meet them for real!", then I remember I'm guilty of the same thing I really suggest though to get out more so that you can question your reality in more situations and don't get bored (it happens if you spend the whole day in the same place). If you want to try something more "extreme", you can try visualize meeting them and becoming aware that you are dreaming.
