      SSILD --> Meditation?

      A few times I have tried the Senses Induced Lucid Dream (SSILD) technique, where I have closed my eyes and observed my senses of sight, sound and touch and cycled through these senses for about 30 seconds each. While I haven't got a lucid dream from it yet, I have noticed that this can be a very effective way to relax and it makes it easier to fall asleep.
      I have also been practicing it in the morning when I wake up and before I go to sleep like meditation, just to relax and relieve stress and I've found it often does this within the first couple of minutes.

      So in addition to being an effective technique, could it also be practiced as a form of meditation to improve awareness for DILDs, (since you are in the present moment and focusing on your senses like in ADA)?

      SSILD in my opinion doubles as a mindful meditation technique (seated) I also use it to get to sleep. It means that when you do SSILD after a wbtb when the mind is groggy, you dont have to think about what to do as you have become very practised at it
