What follows is a pretty boring story of my experiences the last two days. If you want to cut to the chase, skip to the bottom.

Monday evening, I went to bed with an upset stomach. Later that night, I remember having a dream where I was in my basement, and then I think I became lucid. Suddenly realizing I was omnipotent, I started conjuring cool stuff around me, but after maybe 30 seconds of this and an unsuccessful attempt at conjuring something, I woke up. (Pretty sure this was my first-ever lucid dream) I had an upset stomach, and threw up an hour later.

Today, while my stomach problems were gone, I had a pounding headache, probably from mild dehydration. I took a nap early this evening and decided to try a wild even though I knew it wouldn't work because it was too late in he afternoon. I closed my eyes, lay on the couch, and kept my body completely still. I got lost in both thoughts and relaxation exercises. I felt myself losing awareness and drifting into sleep a few times, but was able to regain awareness. I could hear what else was going on in the room perfectly. (A suprising amount, people coming in and out). I never had any hypnagogic hallucinations.

Eventually I decided to open my eyes and wake up, but the moment I did I was unable to move and I realized I had Sleep Paralysis. I felt an instant jolt of terror, but again, there were no hallucinatory images. I closed my eyes, and fell into a bizarre false awakening/dream where I woke up and stood up from the couch but could not move my head or the pillow it was on top of. Then I woke up for real.

I have never had sleep paralysis or a lucid dream before in my life at all, and was not putting forth much effort to induce one Tuesday night or my nap this evening.

Could these bizarre experiences be caused by the sickness? Anyone else had any experiences like this?
