      Unable to focus on objects

      Hi there world!

A couple of months ago i slowly lost interest in lucid dreaming and quit , but now i am getting back on the LD train again. Since then i have had exactly one lucid dream, and in this dream i got reminded why i quit in the first place (this demotivated me too much); In every single dream i have, even lucid ones, i cannot see things clear. It is like i cannot focus on anything. In normal dreams i cannot do anything about it, but in lucid dreams i can atleast try. What happens then is that i get a great headache and i quickly lose my lucidity. Staying lucid is like a button i have to constantly press in, if i try to focus on something i lighten the pressure. Rubbing my hands does not work and if i spin around i also lose my lucidity.

It is really weird because when i cannot see things, my dreams are dominated by feelings and "just knowing" what and where things are. Of course, feelings are enjoyable, but when i read about people seeing things as clear as they would on a sunny day in real life, i get jealous.

Does anyone else experience this or something similar, and do you know how to fix it?

      Thanks for reading!

Start with your non-lucid dreams and dream journal. When you recall non-lucid dreams in your journal, focus more on the imagery than the "plot". The best way is to pick a few details that will be present in any situation. I'd suggest pay attention to light and color. As you describe each scene, try to remember whether it was light or dark, and what kind of light (sunlight, moonlight, lamp, flashlight, etc). For DCs, try to recall what kind of clothes they wear and what color. Also the color and style of their hair. Try to write a sentence or two about those things first with each new scene, DC, or object of interest. Then describe the action and feelings.

It may be sparse at first but with repetition, your unconscious mind will get the hint that you want to see more detail and it will improve. That will carry over into lucid dreams too.

I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

Read more books. Watch fantasy shows. Something that spurs both motivation and imagination (it has to be fun). I wrote down everything I wanted to achieve in dreams like dream skills and characteristics items. This helped a little bit. Especially because i pictured it vividly in the back of my head and this is now a memory which i can more easily access.

Do meditation. Deep breathes. Long inhales. Keep oxygenated. Try that in a lucid dream as well when you are having headaches.

Just my 2 cents. Not sure if good advise but maybe it helps Hope you don't lose all interest in LDing. It is a great thing. Good luck brotha!
