      You know what, actually, I'll humor you. Lucid dreaming was discovered by Tibetan monks and was scientifically studied by a man named Stephen LaBerge who confirmed lucid dreaming by having subjects move their eyes a certain way in the dream (eyes aren't effected by sleep paralysis) upon entrance so that the scientists saw their eyeballs move in real life and could objectively see that the subject had entered the dream and was aware of the dream i.e. lucidity.
