      Need some tips/suggestions

First off, Hello. This will be my first ever post on dreamviews and have been reading tons of sweet info on lucid dreaming on this website!

Not to get sidetracked but i honestly do want some tips on some stuff i have been doing with LDing.

I've started to get into lucid dreaming since May 23rd 2014 and achieved a short minute DILD lucid dream only after 10 days of trying but after that it seems like I've just been sleeping through the rest of my dreams with little to no luck with any lucidity.

There were 2-3 incidents where i have actually known i was dreaming but i had to open and my eyes and i thought i was opening them up in the real world.

I Dream Journal every night and have never skipped a day, even if i didn't remember the dream i would write "did not remember dream".

I am doing reality checks but not frequently, I've been trying once every hour but sometimes it skips from 1 hours to 3 and sometimes even more depending on what I'm doing.

I've tried to WILD but my brother always played bassy music at the times of which my REM sleep would start 2-7am which i could hear through my room and would mostly always cause me to lose focus and would be forced to wake up.

So what could I do in this situation? Should i just continue to do what I'm doing or try to focus more and get more awareness in my dreams instead of reality checking. I heard learning to have good awareness is better to start off with than reality checking but maybe i read wrong information.

Any comments would be sweet so comment below and i would love it if you guys gave me tips

      Have a pleasant day all!

Looks like you're doing good with the dream journal, But if you think you are doing something wrong with the reality checks, try think about it (if haven't) like pretend what it'll be like once you're dreaming.. Also after every reality check do try be aware, that especially helps if you were thinking about the reality check you were doing and if it worked or not.

Also stick to one method, if you can't WILD, just DILD. It's best just to stick with one, and by the way it already worked WILD is easy, I've done it but whatever you do good on, do it.

Just try be aware and do reality checks, don't quit them. They both help and are really good to work with

And late month welcome I hope to see you around, also try not to be too excited in your lucid dreams, and do stabilization.. It helps stay in dream longer.

Lucid dreams make your dreams come true!!

Don't focus too much on RCs through the day, if you accidently forget to do one you will think you're doing things wrong and lower your expectation of becoming lucid and thus will lower your chance of becoming lucid. I don't do RCs, the only time I do them is when I'm already lucid and I just want to confirm it's a dream. WILD is extremely hard, I've tried it many times and only once got close but that didn't even work, focus on other techniques, I recommend SSILD for you.

宇宙の铁: Senses Initiated Lucid Dream (SSILD) Official Tutorial

It works really well for me and is quiet easy with a succes rate of about 70% for me.
If you read this do a reality check, you will thank me later...

Bro to be honest, I hate doing RC's and stuff like that. If you want the easy way try having Self Awareness. Its where youre simply aware of yourself and what you are doing all throughout the day, and eventually this awareness in general will pass into your dreams and youll have lucid dreams more frequently. Easiest thing ever imo. Another thing to try out- The WBTB technique which to me is like a mix of WILD and DILD, but extremely shorter and requires literally little to no practice. But in case you're already comfortable with what you're doing right now then just stay with it and stay persistent and motivated. Those two things will get you really far.

      Goals:
-Become Lucid in every dream every night
      -Perfect the time dilation watch
-Continue to have a dream plan for most of my lucid dreams
