      Question About Eye lid Movement and Dream DurationTime

      I was trying to relax myself so I could lucid dream. Started visualizing places in my mind until I could see it but was still awake. When I saw the places though I could feel my eye lids moving rapidly but didn't manage to go into the dream. How come sometimes when you visualize and see the place your eye lids move rapidly and sometimes they don't? When I was trying to go into the dream many times I would make it but it would only last for a few seconds. I think its cause I wasn't really tired anymore since I took a nap earlier but it really stressed me out. Waiting for like hours at 4am to fall back asleep but only getting random seconds of dream time. Most of the time I spent thinking. This happened yesterday though. :/

      Here's an example of what occurred: I tried using a visualization technique of me imagining myself falling into the dream and my dream guide catching me and distracting me enough so I could be apart of the dream without messing it up. It worked a couple of times but as soon as I had the dream feeling it would break and I was in reality again. Is it because of my thinking or was my dream time just overdue?

      Quite interesting, this is.

      Can't quite answer the first half of this post, but as far as the second half goes;

      Perhaps you are trying too hard to stay in the dream.
      Or perhaps you aren't relaxed enough to stay in a dream.

      That's really all I got.
      I'm not that big of a help today.
