My strangest dream ever - what's your opinion on this?

Last night when I went to sleep I didn't think about LD. It had been a long time (months) since the last time when I had tried a few LD techniques with zero success. I woke up in the middle of the night was awake for a few minutes, it didn't even cross my mind that it would be a nice time to try LD. I fell asleep very quickly and had the strangest dream of my life.

Basically I had 3 consecutive LD experiences, but I didn't control them very well and woke up all the time a few seconds after I had gained control. It all started when somehow I realized I was dreaming (something that I usually have a very very hard time doing!!). I realized, but I didn't have control, so I remembered a technique to gain control that someone had taught me: turning around. I did a little spin and I was in - I didn't change the scenery, just tried climbing a wall, like spiderman and it worked. I was so exited I woke up. I was awake, very lucid but a bit sleepy and wanted to try the spinning technique again, I went back to sleep trying to keep the control from the beginning. When I was in I didn't lose it, made a little spin and had control again. This lasted a little longer. I tried changing the scenery, started to reason on what I wanted to do in my dream and I lost it and woke up again. So I very lucidly decide to try again, it was probably too much and I did keep lucid but had a terrible sleep paralysis. I had never had that before, very very very scary!!!! I tried hard to move and wake up, and I managed to do it in a few seconds.
That's when I realized I had never woken up before. Those two times when I had woken up, reasoned on the LD experience and tried going back to sleep again I had been dreaming. I was lucid enough to reason about what I was doing, but didn't realize I was still dreaming I totally thought I was awake! The only time I had been really awake was before starting the whole LD experience.

Sorry for the long post... I'm so exited about this dream, even though the SP was really scary.

I'm even wondering if it wasn't just a big non-lucid dream where I had the illusion of control, but I really remember reasoning clearly about being in a dream, controlling my body and what was happening so I believe I was really lucid.

That sounds like a great experience. Especially since you managed to use what you learned. Also, the moment you realize your dreaming it counts as a lucid dream, if you end up forgetting its a dream after that its a lucid and non lucid dream. False awakenings are when you think you've woken up near the end of the dream but your still dreaming.

      Couldn't say it better!
Now for the sleep paralysis you had. The most bad idea is trying forsing your way out of it. You have to do the opposit. You have to stay calm and wake each part of the body for it self. For example you start left leg then right leg, left arm then right arm and so on and so on.
Good luck in your next lucid expirience ^_^
