I'm pretty sure this is a stupid question but I just wanted to know how come in my first lucid dream one of my friends appeared out of no where and argued with me that I'm not dreaming and this is real but I did reality checks to show him and he still argued and I wasted All my time arguing :-( (I was dreaming though and I knew it)

I think it's pretty common that DC react like that. Just walk away and do what you want

Hi thanks for your answer but I just wanted to ask last night I had my first MILD it was sick but I only got lucid in the middle of the dream but only for about 5 seconds and then I wasn't lucid anymore but the dream I had was the longest dream I have ever had and was in episodes?? Why was it so short

It's really easy to lose lucidity by getting carried away with the dream plot because your memory just isn't the same as your waking memory, the best way I've found is when you become lucid you need to establish well and truly that you are dreaming, do more than one Rc and keep looking at your hands while you are lucid this will stabilize the Dream and also help you stay lucid keep repeating in your head while you are dreaming or shout it out that you are dreaming and it'll help you get some long lucids and watch out for the false awakenings to but that's another thing altogether

my dc's usually either just wander around and talk to eachother or are very robotic in nature, either happy, smiling and cheerful, or completely blank. I havent had any that argue with me. but the blank ones are very difficult to control, becuase they seem to just want to go on thier way.

      This happened to me once!
I guess you just aren't as self aware as you think you are. It takes very minimal self awareness to BECOME lucid. It takes a whole lot more to keep that lucidity.
DCs can be good road-blocks. It's really annoying.

I believe this actually happened to me over ten times when I first started actively lucid dreaming. All I can say is that it will stop happening with experience. The more you lucid dream, the clearer and more aware you get over time, especially
if you are doing awareness techniques outside of lucid dreams.

      Take care, best of luck.

Yeah they actually tell me I'm dreaming now but not all the time and if I speak to them now they just tell me oh that's nice. Lol
