      Dream characters

last night i had 6 different mini-dreams none of them were lucid but all of them were very vivid. The one thing that was very unique about my dreams last night was the fact that they were just loaded with dream characters and i was interacting with all of them. Usually i have very few dream characters in my dreams and i will only interact with one may two if there is more than that they are more walk through characters. I am just curious how other here interact with their dream characters and how many they usually have in their dreams

Heh cool. Dream characters can certainly be interesting. I usually notice around as many dream characters in my dreams as I would notice people in real life. More often than not, they involve people I know rather than complete strangers, but sometimes I interact with strangers as well. I have actually even gotten/been married to various dream characters before in non-lucids, and we interacted like an average couple, but in reality I had never known anyone like the dream character.

Dream characters *usually* behave like I would expect real people to be like for me, which may be part of the reason I have such a hard time becoming lucid.

I would have to say, I almost never have a dream where I am COMPLETELY alone, I usually have at least one other person with me.

I usually have one consistent dream character, a girl i dated 25 years ago and mostly she is not nice to me. Married to a dream character that's nuts

I would agree with this, I did have one intensely vivid lucid dream that I was by myself in once, it was one of the only lucids I was "locked" into, my house but empty, so I went into the backyard to practice to fly since I couldn't wake myself up, but there were no other people in it, very odd now that I look back.

I'm almost always alone in my dreams. Sometimes I'll have my mom or another relative with me though.

i find in my dreams it depends on the Point of View i have in the dream. If I have a first person Point of View i will usually have only one or two Dcs. but, if i have a third person Point of View my dream will contain many DCs. The thing that was crazy about the drams i had in OP is that all of them were a first person Point of View and there were so many DCs that i was interacting with; my dreams almost felt crowded . Some of the DCs i knew and some of them i did not know at all

Before I started on lucid dreaming, not long ago I was at about always alone, except for my girlfriend who would appear to be in every other dream. But she barely did anything more than existing.
Now I occasionally have a few DCs in my dreams, and sometimes they have actual behaviour, but that's still a rare case. Crowds appear never though. My girlfriend appears as often as before, but judging by one specific dream I think my girlfriend got some dream guide powers, I'm not really sure about that or what to believe exactly though.
Personal Records so far: Max lucids per day: 2 | Max lucids per week: 4 | Max lucids per month: 8 | Max dreams recalled in one night: 17
      Longest lucid dream: ~35min | Highest flight: zoomed out of common existence [WTF?] | Fastest speed: FTL | DILD/EILD/DEILD [X] | WILD/VILD [X] | MILD/FILD/HILD [ ]

Heh, imagine what it is like when you wake UP in the morning. Talk about weird.

I think dreams would be extremely boring without some kind of dream character around. In a non-lucid, it makes it feel more real, in a lucid it gives you people to experience it with, albeit they are only in your head (but heck, they usually FEEL real enough while dreaming).

Interesting that you have more DC's while in 3rd person. It is generally the opposite with me. Of course, when I dream in 3rd person it is usually more like a movie than experiencing it myself. I think some of the weirdest 3rd person experiences are when you are a completely different person. Different looks, different personality, (sometimes a different gender, as odd as that is. -.-" ), yet you still know it is YOU. I suppose you could sort of consider yourself as a dream character at that point. Sorta an odd thought.

Nice! I usually have a lot of Dream Characters in all of my lucids and I think they are so much fun to talk to and interact with. My dreams would be boring without all the random Dream Characters.

have you ever had DCs that are just mean to you? I have had a few that were just vicious . I can remember a few dreams where i was trying to run away from A DC that i know wanted to kill me and i felt like i was running through oatmeal; bleh' i don't even like oatmeal
