My first DILD and DEILD experience

Hi everyone, been practicing LDing for a few month now.
Last night I had a great experience with my first proper DILD and DEILD, I've had a couple of semi Ld's before but last night was different.

Basically I won't explain the whole dream, but I was non lucid for about 15 mins or so. I was running away from someone and made my way to my car. I opened the door and got in and something caught my attention, the parcel shelf was on the back seats. I thought to myself, 'eh? I put that back in the boot last night... I'm dreaming... This is a dream!'

As I said that my car made a very loud rumble and rolled forward, I told myself to relax and stay calm, but I woke up.

I lay in my bed for a minuet feeling exited and reflected on the moment. I did a RC to check that I wasn't still dreaming, I wasn't.
Since I hadn't moved I decided to give a DEILD a go! I've never done one before so I tried for a while to picture the dream scene, but had no luck. I felt a bit strange though, so I did another RC and it worked, I was dreaming!

I was still in my bed, I knew that I just had to get up. I tried to get out of bed but it woke me up! I think I may have jumped up too quickly!

I'm very happy with what happened, so I just thought I would share

P.s any advice on how to get out of bed whilst LD'ing?

      Many thanks!
      When you are dreaming,
      I am wide awake.
      Believe when you see me,
in the mind's eye I wait
      while you are sleeping.

I think you just moved too quickly. Look at your hands first before moving your body. That may ground your mind on the dream body.

Ooooh, congratulations! Nice job. ^_^ I'm glad that you're happy with the experience. :3

Let's see . . . well, I agree with Rothgar. Next time, try to stay as calm as you can and still as you can. Make sure to remind yourself that it's your dream and nothing can hurt you, etc., etc. You'll get better with time!
