These are what some of my best lucid dreams are like. It helps, I suppose, to have begun the lucid dream in one's room, like an OBE. Next, it helps to have a habit or strategy of keeping this in close proximity in your memory. For instance, I once flew out of my house and straight up into the sky, while looking down at my back yard and the houses around it, with the intention of staying oriented around my home. Of course, the scenery changed and I was in a dizzying sky, settling down on a floating island, but I did not forget that I was in the sky because I had flown up from my house. This functioned as kind of like a trail of bread crumbs... Also, if you speak to dream characters, tell at some point that you are dreaming, that you are actually in your bed at home, and that you are able to speak with them because you are dreaming. This helps you stay focused and reminded, as well as providing some interesting conversations.

So it looks like you have a good memory of past events while dreaming. Like you said (kind of like a trail of bread crumbs... ) that’s great. Thanks for the input.
