Does anyone else have this type of LDs?

Sometimes I have these LDs where I just "wake up" lucid somewhere with no memories of any prior events that happened in the dream. Because nothing happened, I basically just pop up into existence, lucid, with the environment, at the same time, at least that's what it seems like. Does this happen usually? And is it just me or this is the worst type of LD?
Because, not to be ungrateful, I think any LD can be useful, but to me, this type of LD doesn't tell me much about my progress. Compared to "Oh, I suddenly knew I was lucid while doing something in a dream, my self awareness must be getting higher, great!" or "Oh, I logically figured out I'm dreaming, that must mean the logic and memory parts of my brain are becoming more active, great!" But with this other type of LD, I don't get it, it doesn't tell me anything, it's just like a random treat you don't see coming, which is awesome, but I'm just wondering what youse think.

      Yes, I get this.
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

Any ld you get is a sign of progress, because all of them show your work has been paying off and your awareness is higher. Actually, as you get more lds under your belt, you will likely experience more lds without a particular trigger.

Generally I think that this is from becoming Lucid at the beginning of a dream. So progress = yes.

And as nyx said. Any lucid is progress.

That's good to know, but like I said, I would've liked to know what 'areas' have improved exactly. Oh well.

I don't know what you mean? What different areas are you working on?
