Limited vision and movement in lucid dreams?

Had another pair of lucid dreams this morning but had serious difficulties in moving and very bad vision.

I almost couldn't move at all, I tried to levitate and it helped a little bit but it was still hard. And the vision was also weird. It was as if my real eyes were open and I saw my bed at the same time as the dream.

Anyone had these problems and knows how to deal with them? I've experienced it before but it's only when achieving WILD.

It's from low stabilization, and maybe a splash of low recall. Another factor is that you could have gotten lucid right around when the dream was starting. All of these play a reoccurring factor in my lucid dreams after having a dry spell.

I tried shouting "stabilize" "clarity" "focus" and looking at my hands but to no avail. When I get lucid by RC in a dream these problems do not occur.

I have been having this problem too! I have tried spinning, rubbing my hands together, and calming myself down and nothing works. It always ends up with me waking up disappointed.

My belief on this (it happens to everyone, I think) is that it is an issue of becoming lucid in non-REM sleep. You are aware, and you are asleep, but you are not really dreaming yet. You can still enjoy such a dream, if you do not expect it to be like a normal REM dream. Work on visualizing things and just feeling your dream body. Maybe see if you can cause music to play. Often being aware and interacting in this stage will shift you into REM.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

But it can't have been non-REM if I was in dream world? I managed to get up from bed and walk around my room (but very very slowly)

You do dream in both REM and non-REM sleep. The dreams are often much more vivid and interactive in REM, but it is important not to limit your concept of dreaming to the kind you get in REM. Observational studies by both me and Sageous and others have explored many aspects of lucid non-REM dreams, and in scientific studies, lucid non-REM dreams were observed also using testing equipment.

I love the blurry shadow world of my own home that I often get to explore at the start of a LD. It's like a parrallel world, a shadow plane just beside our material world.
And I think it is quite interesting that so many people experience it in this way. This always intrigues me. If it is only a construct of our mind - why does it look so similar for so many people?

Well that pretty much explains it. Then what to do when dreaming in non-REM, just wait it out?

Just relax and do not expect anything. Do not get frustrated because you can't fly or summon a DC. Just try picturing what you are wanting to dream about without fighting to move. Float gently forward if imagining it works. The best things in nREM are the feelings you can get, such as turning you hands into wolf paws and anything that does not require much visuals. It is something that takes practice, but eventually you can do many fun things in this state.
