Need some help with All day awerness(ADA)

2 days ago i saw KingYoshi's tutorial on ADA, where he basically says to be aware of everything that most people just ignore during the day. Yesterday i was doing it
5-10min every 1 hour just to make it a habit faster. But i don't really know what to be aware of. I sit down become aware of myself and become in the moment, i notice everything around me and on me like: Food, drinks, table, i sense my clothes, temperature, and everything that affects me but it seems i am missing something. So i would like if someone could give me more ideas what should i be aware of. And during that time i do reality check and i ask myself am i dreaming or not.

You can notice the weight of your body on your chair or your shoes.... Or your posture and movements...

      Your breath... your blinking...

What about being aware of your peripherial vision?

I'm new to this too but, if it helps, I could tell you what I do.

Sometimes, if I'm not distracted by other thoughts, I practice awareness while walking down the street. I sense my feet hitting the ground. I feel my clothes. I sense my breath, and the beat of my heart. I notice my movements, and my blinking if I remember to. I feel temperature and changes in the wind.

I see the buildings, street lamps and trees passing by my both sides. I observe the people and animals, what are they doing and saying. I notice how my surrounding affects my emotions: I'm amused by those kids playing/I'm charmed at the sight of that adorable puppy/I feel uneasy as I hear a couple fighting a few meters behind me... Finally, I try to recall what I saw, heard and felt at the end of the practice.

Obviously I can't do everything at the same time, but I try to. Also, each method works differently for each person, but I think its better to practice in different situations and places, walking, sitting, while you are working...

One thing I strive for is relaxed awareness. That is it's organic and not something that can be contrived or forced. It's the fundamental and defining quality of our existence and we only need open up to it. Don't reach for it but rest in it, be it. Allow every aspect of experience to flow into and out of it.

Also what Suvid said about interoceptive awareness is important. Be aware how you feel in relation to yourself and your experience. The sensations and emotions your experience gives rise to.

Most of all don't overwhelm yourself with it. Practice and take it as it comes, embracing and cultivating it. Be grateful for it and allow it to expand and flourish over time.
