      No DC's in the Dreamworld

I am posting this here instead of the Dream Control Forum because this isn't about summoning DC's.

About 90% of the lucid dreams I have are completely deserted, to the point where i could spend 15 minutes (dream time) looking for someone to talk to, or battle, really anything. Eventually I learned how to summon DC's, but I would like for it not to feel like I'm the only "real" thing in the dreamworld. To reiterate, this isn't about not being able to make DC's appear, it's that they don't exist anywhere in the dreamworld unless I actively summon them. The exception is DILDs any DC's that I am with at the moment I become lucid will persist for the remainder of the dream.

When you go out do you often see a lot of people? If not that's probably why. Probably it means you need to be more social or go out to places with more people. If you already do than try imagining yourself in a crowded place before you go to bed. Like the mall or a carnival. Anywhere you want to be.

You say, Ksero, that with DILDs you have DC's, so I assume that it is with WILDs that you do not.

Is there anything in your dream at all, like background scenery or non-DC objects? If not, then it could be that your dream somehow did not get a chance to form, which is something that can happen with WILDs.

Thank you all for the responses. My social life isn't the greatest atm, but i do not think this is the issue as I had the same problem with my LD's when I had a thriving social life. And yes Sageous it is mostly with WILD, but if I become lucid through DILD and there are no DC's around, it is very unlikely that I will find one without actively summoning them. Other than lack of DC's everthing is as it should be.

Maybe you could take advantage of the "expectation effect". Next time you're entering the dream through WILD expect to see DC's. The dreamworld has a super high chance of manifesting whatever it is you expected. I use expectation for what I want every night, even when I'm not lucid, whatever I expect, always happens.

I really like have most of my dream worlds deserted... For some reason, I feel at home when it's deserted, and sometimes my dream guide is with me

To help, maybe try expecting a dream world that has dream characters in it. Expectations are really powerful in dreams. ( I basically agree with OneUp [Get it? One up One person above me? No? Okay...])

Thanks again for the suggestions, but what I'm trying to get at is, I can make a DC appear if I want, but I can't just walk around a corner and run into a DC without actively wanting them to be there, sorry if it's confusing. Maybe a video game analogy might make it easier to understand for some, It's like a game with no randomly spawned characters, and every character that I talk to or interact with has been 'spawned' into the level (dreamworld) after the level has been created, requiring information on placement, personality, physical attributes etc.

My experience is pretty similar. Much more often so in WILDs, which are most of my LD's. I've a busy enough social life. At times perhaps its as sageous suggests that the dream isn't fully formed. I've to expect DC's to be there, or request DC's to be there...No answers for ye afraid...

No my suggestion wasn't spawning. Expectation is the dream reacting on its own according to what you believe will happen. It's different from just summoning really. Wanting and expecting are different as well, I'd say. I can expect to be shot the moment I walk into a room, but that doesn't mean I wanted that to happen. Of course, you shouldn't be expecting things like that in a dream anyway lmao. Using expectation to "make" DCs appear will bypass the creation process and they will be automatic or "default" in video game language.
