I keep becoming lucid when I'm about to wake up

And it's getting annoying! Basically I will feel my real body ascending into wakefulness while a dream is still in progress. This feeling pretty much jolts me into lucidity, but as much as I try to cling to the dream, I wake up anyway. It's not because I'm excited about being lucid or anything, I'm just waking up naturally. Has this happened to anyone before? I don't like it!

Happens to me frequently as well. But if you can, try this...grab some object (or rub hands if nothing else, or run). and keep thinking about the feel. You will probably lose your vision...the black void...but keep your mind on the feel of your virtual objects. Sometimes a new dream segment starts about 30 to 60 seconds later. I have chained successfully three times like this.

I think what you are talking about is quite common really.
Happened to me just during the weekend. I was having a (bad) dream and then I realized it wasn't real. I normally would have woken up instantly, instead I manage to turn the dream into a LD.
I was struggling with "feeling" my physical body and with poor lighting in the dream, so I clapped my hands, and slapped myself in the face a few times (that felt so real!) and then a dream scene formed and I was able to LD for a while longer.
In order to "engage my senses" I wished for a pretty girl, which kept me going for a bit - but unfortunately I woke up!
