      Dreaming I am lucid dreaming

So last night I was having a dream about a train in space. Previously I have become momentarily conscious as a dream cycle ends and a new one begins. However, this time I only thoughtthat the dream cycle had ended so I attempted a DEILD inside my dream and dreamed that I was in a lucid dream. Having only one brief previous lucid dream, I do not know how one really feels or looks like so I figured that I was actually in a lucid dream. I tried a stabilization technique by rubbing my hands together and saying I was dreaming and the dream solidified. I then attempted some dream control and tried to give myself wings and I actually managed one flap before they disappeared. At the time I thought that I was actually lucid dreaming. Soon after I tried flying I woke up and once I was awake I realized two things that meant that this was not a lucid dream. 1: I was consciously aware of my body's movements while I was asleep. In a true lucid dream you should not be aware of your physical body. 2: As I attempt "DEILD" I knew that someone next to me was also in the same dream as me. a: it is impossible to share a lucid dream with someone else. b: That person was not sleeping near me nor did he exist. So my questions are whether this means I am closer to attaining a real lucid dream, and what this dream really was.

This is a lucid dream. When you know that you are dreaming the dream will be a lucid one. No one knows if Sharing a dream is real because there is no evidence. And you are not close to lucid dreaming you experienced one, and a real one, it can't be a fake one.

Also, I question your statement that you could feel your body movements. Many times I " thought" I had awakened as I was moving my body...but in reality my thrashing around was my dream body...it was a false awakening. Believe me my wife would have awakened otherwise with all the thrashing. You cannot be dreaming and moving your body. False awakenings can really fake you out.

      Yeah, this dream was weird.

Hopefully, I'll be able to identify what's going on next time.

I did a similar the other day. I had a false awakening into a strange bedroom. It didn't make me lucid but I then lay down and WILD from inside the dream. Very inceptiony
