      Curious to my next step

I was listening to a hypnosis mp3 last night which lasts 8 hours. The hypnosis is to initiate a mind awake Lucid dream. I began to feel vibrations and see colours in the back of my eye lids. Then my body went numb and I started to see faint images of places I recognised form and then vanish but as they vanished I felt something like a tingly rushy feeling that kind of woke me a little then another image and this repeated a few times. Anyway then the recording asked me to turn onto my side and at this point I felt wide awake and images weren't coming. I couldn't really control the images but could clearly recognise them. Could you help me with what I am doing wrong or what I can do to help getting into a lucid dream from where I am. When I use binaural and isochronic tones my dreams are really clear but I cant take control.

Bear in mind that becoming lucid, and staying that way is quite a delicate balance between maintaining the dream and not waking up, so don't expect to get it immediately. The symptoms you describe are all good indicators that you are on the right track. Keep practicing, but remember that one of the keys is to try to stay a bit detached from the dream and not get to excited or you will wake up and lose the dream. You almost have to distract yourself, which can include getting involved (rub hands, spin), but that is sort of the opposite of remaining detached. This balance differs from person to person, so there is a sense that you must find what works for you.

Thanks, I have been doing the fingers through the palm reality check however my closest experience to being lucid, my fingers would not go through in my dream.

RCs can sometimes fail. Either they don't work or you don't believe them. It's worth having two or three in case.
Looking at your hands and counting fingers usually works quite well. I find that either I have fewer fingers or my hands look weird.

The only RCs I have found to work consistently are to read text or check a digital watch. Hands don't always display an incorrect number of fingers, nor are we always aware enough to notice that our hands look weird.

I'm really not understanding the nature of the recording. The rush feeling and images sound like the beginning of a transition, but why you would want to turn over at this point I do not know. If you are trying to WILD, relax a bit and make sure your focus isn't too tight. If you are trying to DILD, which makes more sense with a recorfing, then you just need to fall asleep.
