I have been wondering this for a long time and it's time to ask someone who might knows.
I think yes.
Once, I was working in a furniture making factory. There was a Calendar on the wall. The picture was of a painting of a wheat field. As I looked at it ... sudenly ... I was there (!!!) Just for a few seconds I was in the picture. I could feel the breeze, smell the aroma, the grass under my shoes, everything was real.
Then, I was back in the factory. Thing is ... it was not a photograph !!! It was only a picture of a drawing or water painting (???).
Only happened once in the entire 55 years of my life. But, from that one experience, I say "Yes".
That happened in 1987. 11 years later when I saw the film
What Dreams May Come (1998)
I think that film holds major truths.
It has been up less than a month. It will be found by the authorities and taken down because of copyright violation so be sure and watch it quickly. You need only to watch the first 30 minutes to understand how important admiring art may be to ... What Dreams May Come
