      Distraction during lucid dreaming attempt

Hi everyone. I'm having this issue right now. So, I've been watching a fail video where this guy with the glasses and pumpkin-esque hairstyle(don't know the exact name) played a violin in an orchestra when his violin's strings snapped which ruined the whole orchestra.

Then, he said "sorry horr" and I was like, omg...this guy is so cute. So, I've been trying to lucid dreaming about him and become that violin.

The thing is that there are so many distractions that prevented me from LDing. Starting from random enviromental noises, body itchiness, yawning, sneezing and the list goes on which destroyed my concentration. Please, I need advices regarding on how to prevent those distractions. You can also tell me about how you prevent them in your attempt.

LDing about my fictional husbando and that failed violin guy is my goal right now. Thanks for helping.

Hi, I'm pretty new to Lucid Dreaming, but I can help you out. The distractions can be really annoying, but you must ignore them. For random environmental noises, I would find a better location where noise isn't as much of a problem, or wear headphones and listen to Binaural Beats and/or Isochronic Tones (these can help with Lucid Dreaming). For itching, yawning, and sneezing, you must ignore all of these. Don't try to focus on them - they will just become more of a distraction. You should be able to forget about them and they may fade away if you don't focus on them, especially itching. I don't know about sneezing, it has never happened to me, but if you sneeze, you may have to start over. Are you using the WILD method for Lucid Dreaming?

What is Binaural beats and isochronic tones? Can you clarify their meaning in simpler ways? It sounds like a neat trick.

I guess I don't have a good skin since my body itches randomly. Anyway, I'm more of the WILD type so I've been practicing WILD all the time.

When using WILD, I highly recommend you use the WBTB method with it. When you're using WILD at night, it can take several hours before your body actually puts you in REM atonia. On my first WILD attempt, I fell asleep before my body did, because it was night time. When you use WBTB, however, you wake up 5-6 hours after you go to sleep at night, you stay up in between 30-60 minutes, and during this time, focus your mind on lucid dreaming, do a few reality checks, etc. and what happened to me this morning when I woke up? I went back to my bed, and even with my eyes open, I randomly fell asleep, so do NOT lay down xD. Anyway, Once 30-60 minutes are up, go back to bed and perform the WILD technique. It will be a lot easier this time because your body was just in its REM cycles and it will be easier to get right back into those cycles.

Binaural Beats use brainwave entrainment and require headphones when you listen to them. This is a sound that puts your brainwaves at a certain hz level, which can really help keep your body relaxed, yet keep your mind awake, so you don't fall asleep. Isochronic Tones are sounds that can help your body fall asleep, and I do love listening to them at night with headphones on.

I believe you can find some sort of cream you can put on your body that will help with the itching. It's probably around stores you would regularly go to, like Wal-Mart.

      Good luck

Thank you. That's a lot of information. They're neat.

Anyway, can you tell me where can I get these Binaural Beats and Isochronic Tones? Sorry for asking a lot. It's just that I haven't heard about them yet.
