In theory, this can work with anything; I chose nightmare material because it's much more likely to show up.

Another question.
If a dream element has been nightmare material in the past, but It's not anymore, is there a way to make it scary again? When I was really young, I was scared of the voice trumpets from teletubbies. Way before I knew about LDing, they became the occasional nightmare and dream sign, gradually lessening in frequency as I got older. I wonder if it's possible to make them scary again in dreams?

Yes pick a certain aspect of the dream to turn it lucid and then change the dream to make it positive. I have a reoccurring nightmare about having to box in a ring a guy who is much better than me at boxing. I have not trained at all and a DC has captured me and I am in the arena waiting to box this guy who is going to really hurt me. So the way to do is pick something to become lucid about like the crowd and then maybe just wake up or else I could become one of the best wrestlers and really shock the boxer. I don't know who the boxer is yet but I had a beautiful lucid today of all the crowd cheering me as I went up to the ring.
