Does lucid dreaming make you more aware in waking life?

Like does it make you aware in waking life and allow to appreciate life and take it more slowly/relaxed?

Yes! The search for lucidity in dreams is the modern search for enlightenment.

Many lucid dreaming exercises such as all day awareness, reality checks and keeping a journal will lead to greater appreciation and awareness in waking life.

Ok but I mean as well does actually doing it, I mean like entering a lucid dream and in the aftermath, does it make more awareness and appreciation/taking life slowly?

In that regard lucid dreaming is only a means to show you how aware you've been in waking life. As for appreciation of being alive and wanting to be patient can all be done with or without Lding. Simply getting lucid can change your perspective but really it comes down to how you choose to perceive things in life.

Yes, the rush from a lucid bleeds into the next few days... tend to take it faster with that boost though!

I would say it doesnt make me more "aware" so much as much happier, more satisfied, and excited about living life, if that makes sense. You can learn or experience so much that the thrill bleeds over into real life for days as IAmCoder says.
