Exclamation Multiple false awakenings and sleep paralysis

      Hey!

This "morning" (or more like midday) European time, when I woke up for the first time around 1 pm (I had stayed up late), I fell back to sleep to this semi-realistic dream. In the dream I was with my prolonged unrequited love, (a girl the same age as I) and some random dude. We were playing a video game. The girl was holding the controller, with my and the other guy watching. The guy asked me something about my love life, and I told him that I hadn't had anyone in between my previous and current unrequited love, pointing at the girl. For some reason she started giggling, and I felt a need to hug her and so I did. She put her arms around me too; an unexpected move. The sensation of touch felt real, and actually is almost as vivid of a memory as real life events. Right after that I took a look at my phone in the dream and found some pictures, which I was supposed to delete for some reason. But before I could, I woke up. I looked at the clock and it was 1:05 pm; I was surprised about how quickly I fell asleep as it normally takes me around an hour. For some reason I felt too tired to rise up from bed and fell back asleep again.

I was back in the same dream, this time laying on sofa where I had been sitting with the girl and that random guy. It didn't take long until I woke up again, or that's what I thought, but when I looked at my phone, those pictures which I should have deleted were on my "real life phone" while they never existed in the first place. Then suddenly I was in the dream again, laying on the sofa presumably, but I wasn't able to move or open my eyes. Then I actually woke up again, and looked at the clock. It showed 1:15 pm. I was able to recognize that I was actually awake again. But I still felt too tired to rise up and fell back asleep into the same paralyzed state within the dream. I was able to get my eyes slightly open. I thought I was awake, as what I was able to see reminded me of my room. I tried to move but I fell of the bed, and laid on the floor. Not being able to move didn't feel good, so I made the conscious decision to try counting down from 3 and then telling myself to wake up. I did just that, and actually startled myself awake. The clock was 1:30 pm when I looked at it. This time I forced myself to rise up, as I didn't want to go through the same cycle again. It was annoying, veery confusing, and actually quite scary.

What do you think of this weird "wake up phase"? Is it normal? And why did the touching sensation feel so real in the dream?

I had vivid touching sensations many times. But they didn't wake me up ever (only these sexual sometimes). Hugging is pretty intimate experience, maybe that's why you got excited and your dream started to fall apart. Then it threw you to another dream but you didn't noticed it, thinking that's RL. You can even feel orgasm in a dream so it's not really weird that you feel touching. It just mean that your skill in dreaming going better! I had multiple FAs lately and I also felt confused. But try to use it next time to get LD. It's not scary really, rather interesting. Do RC every time you waking up. Good luck!

Thanks That touch was particularly meaningful to me due to the fact that it felt so real. I haven't been able to feel this girl's touch in THREE years! It's a long for time for unrequited love but believe me, I've tried my best to forget her. I've been doing reality checks through this day and hopefully I will have another FA and from there become lucid once more.
