Im not sure if i had a lucid dream or a regular dream

So my dream started off normal just like any other dream but then i soon realized that i was dreaming and i kept repeating to myself that im dreaming then thats when everything started to spin for 5 seconds then it stopped. After I realized i was dreaming i started to name a bunch of things i wanted to see and then they would appear. But this dream was foggy and i didn't really feel real and I can't remember much from it which makes me believe that it wasn't a lucid dream. Could it have been a lucid dream or something close to it?

If you realized that you were dreaming then it was a lucid dream! Whether or not you knew during the dream that you were dreaming is the only criteria in identifying lucid dreams.

Before you go to sleep, try to have a plan in mind for what you want to do in your next lucid dream. This will help stabilize lucidity and keep you from wasting precious LD time figuring out what to do.

Yes, despite the name, lucid dreaming really just means that you were aware, during the dream itself, that you were dreaming. Even when you are, some dreams can still seem fuzzy and unrealistic, and they can even occasionally be kind of hard to remember afterwards (especially dreams with weaker levels of lucidity, I think). This happens sometimes, but the realization of dreaming is the only thing that matters.
