What's the success rate of a using a totem sound? Both inside and outside your dreams?

Anyone had any luck with it?

When the totem is played when your asleep will I hear it in my dreams?

A totem isn't the music, it is a small object that let's you know if you are in someone else's dream. Of course, if you want to adapt it to lucid dreaming, you need to have a small object that you can use to tell the difference between waking and reality. Something like a top or something would work. I just use telekinesis as an all time RC. I can do it every time I am in a dream.
