unability to talk to the dream

In one of my lucid dreams,i wanted to talk to the dream in order to increase the lucidity but i was unable to speak .the dream began to fade ,my mouth was wide open in my dream but i was feeling my real closed mouth. Then, after proceeding to the spinnin technique , i ve had a false awakening , prolonged my dream and didnt try to talk to the dream anymore.
P.S: talking to dcs works for me.

Interesting... could it be some self fulfilling prophecy/sabotage of not believing (on some level) that it will work? (Or something along those lines.)

Since it only happened once you shouldn't focus on it too much - probably just self-sabotage or not enough presence or just plain coincidence.
If it's a reoccurring problem, try to be creative and use alternative ways to speak - like hamming with a close mouth or with a speaker... But now that you had this problem once, understand that it's not necessarily going to be a persistent problem, unless this one failure is going to decrease your confidence next time. So my advice is to just try again, maybe with different and more creative methods, and stay open minded (i.e. don't think that it isn't going to work).

Thanks for the advise spock . Confidence and power of expectation are very helpfull in lucid dreaming.I ve heard once about a creative idea of imagining a remote control of the dream.Maybe i will try this in my next lucid dream.
