Congratulations on your lucid! This is a phenomenon that happens to many people who are still learning. They try really hard to lucid dream and only get success once they stop trying. Do not stop doing reality checks or dream journaling though. Taking a break doesn't cause you to lucid dream. Some aspect of your practice was wrong and once you stopped practicing that no longer held you back. Most likely you were trying to hard to lucid dream and the stress from that burned you out. Having a positive, relaxed mindset towards lucid dreaming is important. If you put a lot of pressure to get lucid fast it will only make things harder. Understand that with time you will have lucid dreams more often if you keep up your practice. Always be proud of the progress you have already made no matter what level you are at. |
