I don't think my subconscious likes me

On multiple occasions I've asked my subconscious for something and I get no answer. The last LD I had I asked the dream to play my favorite song. Nothing happened. I even asked a 2nd time and said please. Still nothing. Has anyone been ignored by there sub before and how was it resolved?

"I don't think my subconscious likes me"

This is no surprise to me, the unconscious is a chaotic and often malicious 'thing', whose 'designs' and 'purposes' are most often at odds with those of the subject.

      "how was it resolved?"

Constant resolve is what is needed, or some novel avenue beyond simple suggestion and words. As creative as many aspects of the subconscious are, there are some parts which are purely mechanical and thus highly resistant to change. Symbols, especially personally constructed symbols seem to be a effective way to do this. If this event is important to you I would suggest looking into creating a 'Sigil' for it. The idea of a Sigil is that the subconscious speaks and understands in symbols and non-linear associations, so in order to communicate effectively with it a similar type of language is needed.

Usually when I ask to become a dolphin, I don't. However, the last time I did I had gotten several other things that I had asked for first before asking to be a dolphin. I haven't tried this since then but I think it is the way to go.

I think this failure of the dream responding has to do with subconscious self doubt that the request will be granted. I think a way to get rid of this self doubt is to build a streak of different granted requests that is long enough to make it seem like you will get everything you ask for, including what you really want.

My subconscious has only kinda answered me once. It was the 1st time I asked it anything. I asked how to have more lucid dreams. It told me to use "the swing method".which of course is nothing. Next I think I asked it who am I? It answered in a whisper that I couldn't hear. So I yelled "louder" and still only a whisper. I remember getting mad and screaming at the voice. Since then I don't receive an answer at all. But I always try to ask with with the expectation that I will get one. If I have created self doubt , what can I do to undo it?

In my last LD I asked the dream to play my favorite song. The request was open ended. I didn't ask for a specific song. I wanted the dream to respond with some insight. How could i have used a sigil to request this?

Is it more effective to ask a seemingly aware DC questions than keep making request to the subconscious?

If calling out to the dream is not working, then asking a dc is the way to go.

Its useful to learn to summon too, that way you have access to a dc if one is not around. Just put my hand behind my back with the intention of a dc touching it and usually a dc touches it within a couple of seconds. Also, you can summon pocket sized objects by reaching in your pocket for it. This way you can summon a phone if a dc isn't showing up. You can also summon larger objects by putting out your hand or hands to the side and imagining objects being blindly handed to you. This way you can summon a magic 8 ball, a crystal ball, or a genie lamp and have requests answered that way.

If something isn't working, then try something different. Using your imagination you can come up with different methods if one isn't working. Once you're more confident, you can always try methods again that failed you in the past to see if they work.
