Thread: for anyone else who likes lightning

That's so awesome.

That IS so awesome. I love lightning, especially when it's like this. One commenter on the video accused Craig of using after-effects to do it, but others saw the storm and one guy even got other photos from that storm.

They are decently high.

My buddy Edd has been struck 3 times (directly) and 7 times (indirectly). It's actually messed him up pretty bad, but he's still living. It screwed with his short term memory, so he would have episodes where he would completely forget long periods of recent memory and had to seek therapy for it. At one time, he was forgetting the events of each day, on the following day. Pretty crazy.

Needless to say, any time there is even the possibility of a thunderstorm coming, he hauls ass.

I've been REALLY close to being struck, but have never actually been hit.

jeez i'm glad he's alive, then - i'd wonder if the loss of memory would make him forget the danger and he'd end up stuck in a positive feedback loop of getting struck and forgetting...

and i just have to share this because it's so ironic how the guy ends up dying.

also, i'm slightly jealous of you floridians and your many lightning storms - i rarely see any here.

How tall is he?

Lightning to me is not so good without the roar or clap of thunder that follows it. Its even better if it starts after a hot day.
Sadly there is too many trees around where I am so when a storm rolls through I would have to go out of my way to enjoy the show.

yeah, Boer - i once saw a lightning storm in the middle of a desert with great visibility. was awesome!

I love rain and lighting, I find it really relaxing. I saw this video a few days ago, very amazing to see.

Yeah, man. It's great. I love all the storms we get. The intense ones are awesome, but I love the more mellow ones, the most.

Probably about my height. He's ex-military, so maybe he has some metal plate that I don't know about? Lol.

We had a fantastic roll of storms last week, lightning every couple seconds. Good times, very enjoyable~
