Thread: Visual Snow In My Dreams

Heya,

I have visual snow since childhood, i don't remember when it started either.
I didn't seem to care or notice it that much till i've learnt that other people didn't see the noise that i saw.

As for it's appearence in lucid dreams, i think we might have something in common

I never really payed attention whether i had visual noise in dreams or not, so i don't have much of memories about it.
But i certainly remember one lucid dream during which i've decided to stare at the wall of garage in front of me.
And then i noticed familiar visual snow sensation on it.

This is topic is kinda intriguing.
If i have lucid dreamw anytime soon, i might check this stuff out.
But yeah, laziness is laziness

It was so strong in the lucid dream I couldn't ignore it! Yeah it's strange we see it in dreams too. Wonder if that's because we see it in our vision day to day?

Same here. I don't know if it's constant in lucid dreams, but I have definitely noticed it before.

I've always had a very light layer of visual snow (not enough to pose a problem in everyday life; I only notice it when I actively look for it). On the occasions I've checked for it in lucid dreams, I've seen it there, too. I don't think I remember any cases so far where it was absent.

Interestingly, I've also noticed other effects such as that of the blind spot and fovea vs. peripheral vision in LDs, but I haven't experimented with that a whole lot. Given that dreams aren't limited to physical sensory organs, though, I suspect that it's technically possible to eliminate them.

I have mild visual snow, which I can 'tune' into. It mostly does not affect my day to day life, though I do have bouts of noticing it, and develops into a vicious spiral...
