I have been a teenager in all of my years of practice and I've had no problem of lucid dreaming. But you have longer REM-periods when you are a child and it decreases with age so I guess a teenager is the second best. |

I'm a teenager and I have a lucid dream at least once a day. If you are able to get into a relaxed state, control your REM period in order to make it longer and have conscious awareness, your age should hardly affect the likely hood of having lucid dreams. I would say it gets better with age because of practice. |

I dont think so. I heard some claim being a teenager you or child you will Lucid or Astral more and you lose that ablity when you get older if you dont keep up with it. Ive heard that when you're older past your 60's you lucid more. I heard both sides. I dont believe any of it. Its the person. Talked and watched inverviews with people from in their 20s too their 70's whom Lucid or Astral. Our bodies function different. So recalling dreams might be easier than others. Lucid might be easier than others. And so forth. |

I think teenagers and adults are about the same when it comes to lucid dreaming. How difficult it is to get lucid is more of an individual thing. However, I think children are actually more likely to lucid dream. They seem to remember a lot of their dreams and I remember mine were really vivid back then. |

Well, I have a feeling that this thread is directed mainly torwards girls. |

Now that I'm almost 20, agree. |

I'm a teenager, and I have trouble lucid dreaming. I think my main problem is that I don't focus on it enough when I want to go to sleep. |

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...

Agree with what Mancon said about children more likely to lucid dream. Though, I also heard that the reason why children were so scared about stuff like the boogeyman is that they can't tell the difference between dreams and waking life, even when they're explained. I guess the reason why they can recall so much better is because they're free of responsibilities and (possibly) hence stress. |

Definetly not. |

I don't think it will have an impact. But believing that something will make it harder for you to lucid dream can then make it harder for you to lucid dream. Self-fulfilling prophecy and all. |

Thank you for the replies! |
